NEW DELHI: A day after the tragic stampede at the Allahabad Railway Station, the Railways have announced helpline numbers at different stations including New Delhi, Nizamuddin, Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur to help those in distress and looking for more information about the incident.
The stampede occurred at 7 PM yesterday at Platforms No 5 and 6 where thousands of passengers, mostly Mahakumbh devotees returning after taking the holy dip at the Sangam, had gathered to board a train.
According to Indian Railways, the helpline numbers for Delhi are: 011-23342954, 23341074, and 24357660.
